Project “Stop Violence Against Elderly Women: STOPVI.E.W.”
BGRF is partner in the project “Stop Violence against Elderly Women: STOPVI.E.W.” The project started in February 2011 and will continue until February 2013 and is supported by Daphne programme of the EU.
STOPVI.E.W is focused on issues of
violence against women over 65 that is still a relatively unexplored
area in six EU countries – Italy, Portugal, Bulgaria, Spain, Slovenia
and France. The overall aim is to increase knowledge of motivations and
consequences of the phenomenon at national and EU levels and to give
social visibility to this problem through an intensive
awareness-raising, information and communication programme.
STOPVI.E.W
envisages also to prepare organisations and services to the elderly
women to develop new approaches and tools for recognising the phenomena
and set up social support networks.
The leading partner is Auser Regionale Lombardia (Milan, Italy) and other partners are: Bulgarian Gender Research Foundation (Bulgaria), CNIDFF (France), ANJAF (Portugal), UNAF (Spain), ZDUS (Slovenia).
